Octahydroxy fullerene C 60 (OH) 8 (see picture) is among the isomerically pure fullerenols with two to eight OH groups that were prepared by selective transformation of tert ‐butylperoxo groups of fullerene mixed peroxides. Since C 60 (OH) 8 has all OH groups on the same hemisphere, it is amphiphilic and forms stable spherical aggregates in water.
