Charged! Combining Me BABAR‐Phos and methyl triflate affords an amino‐stabilized phosphiranylium ion (see picture; C gray, N blue, P orange), which undergoes various nucleophilic addition reactions to give P‐substituted phosphiranes and an N‐heterocyclic carbene stabilized phosphiranylium cation.
