The molecular nanocluster [Ag 48 (μ 4 ‐S) 6 (μ 2/3 ‐SCH 2 Fc) 36 ] ( 1 ) (see picture; Ag blue, S yellow, Fe orange, C gray; Fc=ferrocenyl) has been prepared in good yield and characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. The 36 ferrocenylmethylthiolate ligands envelop the AgS core. Cyclic voltammetry of 1 displays one reversible oxidation wave.
