Open for business : The first aluminophosphate molecular sieve with 20‐ring pore openings has been synthesized ionothermally using a co‐structure‐directing agent (see figure; H white, C turquoise, N blue). The new material has a ‐CLO framework and excellent stability in comparison to the GaPO 4 analogue cloverite. These characteristics indicate its potential applications in separation, catalysis, and gas storage.
