An encapsulated Cu 3 (OH) 2 ensemble is formed within a macrocyclic ligand consisting of three ( R , R ) ‐ 1,2‐cyclohexanediamine residues linked through 2,6‐dimethylpyridine spacers (see picture; Cu orange, O red, N blue). Its crystal structure, magnetic behavior, and characterization in solution by potentiometric measurements and paramagnetic 1 H NMR spectroscopy are reported.
