Branching out : Condensation polymerization of AB 2 monomer proceeds selectively from a core molecule owing to the change of substituent effects between the monomer and the polymer (see scheme). Hyperbranched polyamides are obtained with very low polydispersity and controlled molecular weight determined by the monomer/core feed ratio.
