Highly reactive : The first divalent organoneodymium complex has been isolated and characterized by X‐ray crystallography. It reacts immediately with all common aromatic and ethereal solvents, reduces dinitrogen to form an isolable dinitrogen complex, and undergoes CH activation of a ligand tert ‐butyl group to form a crystallizable “tuck‐in” complex (see scheme).
