An uncommon structure : The novel title compounds (see scheme) were prepared and fully characterized. The tetranuclear complex contains a hexagonal Pd 4 Si 3 core involving one central Pd atom, three outer Pd atoms, and three bridging Si atoms within the same plane, whereas the dumbbell‐shaped octanuclear Pd complex is composed of two Pd 4 Si 3 groups bridged by a diphosphine ligand.
