Sensor and sensibility : A sensor that combines the properties of a europium complex and an organic‐dye‐doped silica nanoparticle allows the rapid and ultrasensitive detection of an anthrax biomarker (see picture yellow dots: silica nanoparticles, outer shell: Eu III complex). The sensor response is superior to that obtained with traditional terbium‐based sensors.
