How low can you go? The title [(PNP)Ni] + complex is not a T‐shaped d 8 cation. Rather, it has an electrophilic Ni II center bound to one of the SiC bonds, stretching it by nearly 0.2 Å. This example shows that there are limits to how unsaturated Ni II centers can be.
