Borylene transfer reactions to [(η 5 ‐C 5 R 5 )M(CO) 2 ] (M=Rh, R=H; M=Ir, R=Me) using [(OC) 5 MoBN(SiMe 3 ) 2 ] as a borylene source proceed at room temperature and generate terminal rhodium and iridium borylene complexes (see scheme). Iridium complex 1 was characterized by X‐ray crystallography.
