Piece by piece : Hydrazides at zirconium centers undergo facile NN bond cleavage and react as equivalents for metallanitrenes, thus allowing the atom‐by‐atom assembly of bridging dinitridosulfate(IV) and dinitridoselenate(IV) ligands (see scheme; TBS= t BuMe 2 Si).
