No ligand support : Modular assembly of the title system (see picture; Ag purple, W blue, O red) has been achieved using {H 3 W 12 O 40 } 5− and {Ag 2 } 2+ building blocks to give a material with [Ag(CH 3 CN) 4 ] + ions in its microporous channels. This framework is constructed by unsupported Ag I ⋅⋅⋅Ag I interactions, and sorption studies show that the framework can reversibly adsorb up to 10 wt % acetonitrile.
