A chiral fullerene: The first ordered crystal structure of a derivative of the D 2 ‐symmetric C 76 fullerene, C 76 Cl 18 , is determined. The distorted carbon skeleton of C 76 Cl 18 contains elongated CC bonds and a unique π system. The C 76 cage (see picture; green) is surrounded by two helical belts of chlorine atoms (orange).
