A clean break : The novel catalytic conversion of hexafluoropropene into (3,3,3‐trifluoropropyl)silanes by CF activation has been developed (see scheme). The reactions are catalyzed by the rhodium complex [Rh{( Z )‐CFCF(CF 3 )}(PEt 3 ) 3 ], proceed at room temperature, and are highly selective.
