There's more to LiFe : When used as an electrode in a lithium half cell, the metal–organic framework [Li x Fe II x Fe III 1− x (OH) 0.8 F 0.2 L] (L=O 2 CC 6 H 4 CO 2 ) shows a reversible redox process around 3.0 V versus Li + /Li 0 with interesting capacity retention and rate capability (see voltage profile for a [Li x Fe(OH) 0.8 F 0.2 L] half cell; inset: representation of lithium insertion upon oxidation to Li + ).
