Zinc has the ansa : Deprotonation of the ligand 1,8‐bis(indenyl)naphthalene followed by treatment with ZnCl 2 gives an ansa‐zincocene. Its crystal structure reveals a σ/(σ,π) coordination of the indenyl units to the central zinc atom (see structure; C white, O red, Zn blue).
