A pattern on the sheets : Long oligopeptides of homochiral sequence (see mass spectrum of enantioselectively deuterated compounds) were obtained in the polymerization of racemic N ‐carboxyanhydrides of valine (ValNCA) or leucine (LeuNCA) in aqueous solutions, through self‐assembly into racemic antiparallel β‐sheet templates.
