Simple ligands, catalyst, and conditions : The combination of readily prepared unsymmetrical pyridine–imine ligands and [CpRu(CH 3 CN) 3 ][PF 6 ] (Cp=C 5 H 5 ) affords regio‐ and enantioselective Carroll rearrangements (see scheme; b/l= branched‐to‐linear ratio). This reaction represents the first example of Ru‐catalyzed enantioselective CC bond‐forming allylic substitution.
