Going through a phase : By using simple glass‐forming liquid crystals (LCs) in situ, gold nanoparticles (GNPs) were synthesized shape selectively and assembled spontaneously to generate ribbonlike patterns that are replicas of native LC organizations. This remarkable approach afforded boomerang‐ and V‐shaped GNPs.
