Plumb radical: The kinetically stable plumbyl radical Pb[SiEt(SiMe 3 ) 2 ] 3 (see molecular structure; red Pb, light purple Si, dark purple C) was obtained through oxidation of Pb[SiEt(SiMe 3 ) 2 ] 3 − ions. With a half‐life of about 8.5 hours at room temperature, it cleanly decomposes to elementary lead and Pb[SiEt(SiMe 3 ) 2 ] 4 .
