Stretching exercises: A family of degradable thermoplastic elastomers has been synthesized by entropy‐driven ring‐opening metathesis polymerization of macrocycles based on bile acids. These polyesters display elongation moduli closely matching those of elastin and other soft tissues, such as skin, elastic cartilage, and aorta, which make them good candidates for biomedical engineering applications where mechanical properties are of importance.
