Sensing within the cell : Microspheres (2 μm) covalently loaded with calcium sensors can be delivered efficiently into living cells to analyze the intracellular changes in the concentration of Ca 2+ ions in real time. The figure shows the real‐time ratiometric fluorescent analysis (400/475 nm ratio) of the release of Ca 2+ ions in cells loaded with the microspheres.
