Forced to comply : The Mn III 6 Cr III complex 1 is constructed from two trinuclear manganese triplesalen complexes and one [Cr(CN 6 )] 3− ion, and possesses a spin ground state of S t =21/2. The threefold symmetry enforced by the triplesalen ligand precludes a complete cancellation of the single‐site magnetic anisotropies and minimizes quantum tunneling of the magnetization. The analysis of the magnetic properties reveals that this complex is indeed a single‐molecule magnet.
