Easy does it : A lithiation/electrophilic quench sequence gives efficient access to a large variety of unprecedented complexes. One such complex ( 1 ; see scheme) can be successfully used in the synthesis of the first enantiopure formyl‐substituted [(η 5 ‐cyclohexadienyl)Mn(CO) 3 ] derivatives.
