The single life : The reaction of [PhC(N t Bu) 2 ]SiCl 3 ( 1 ) with potassium afforded the monomeric chlorosilylene [PhC(N t Bu) 2 ]SiCl ( 2 ). The X‐ray crystal structure of 2 has been determined and natural‐bond‐orbital analysis carried out.
