It's under control : In the presence of an artificial double‐hydrophilic block copolymer, poly(ethylene glycol)‐ b ‐poly( L ‐glutamic acid), highly monodisperse vaterite microspheres crystallize from a mixture of N , N ‐dimethylformamide and water (see picture). Varying the ratio of the solvents can control the morphology of the CaCO 3 crystals.
