Shape sensing : The effect of guest complexation on the conformational dynamics of sensors, and its role in signal generation was studied in photoinduced electron transfer (PET) sensors. Based on the obtained results, a new sensor design (see picture) was implemented that uses the influence of conformational dynamics on the PET process.
