The cytoskyrin cascade : The total syntheses of the bisanthraquinones 2 (+)‐2,2′‐ epi ‐cytoskyrin A (R 2 =OMe) and (+)‐rugulosin (R 2 =Me) has been achieved through a cascade sequence from anthradihydroquinone monomeric units 1 .
