Joining the cubes : The linking of lithium {Li 4 O 4 } cubanes by the bifunctional organometalloligand [(η 4 ‐quinone)Rh(cod)] − (cod=cyclooctadiene) results in an unprecedented doubly bridged motif. The dimeric assembly features cubane units that are connected by a transition‐metal complex and that incorporate a quinone oxygen atom at one of the corners.
