Sensitive indicators : Test strips for metal ions were obtained simply by filtering dispersions of hydrophobic indicator dyes in the form of nanoparticles or nanofibers through cellulose ester membrane filters, which gave firm and uniform coatings on the surface. The picture shows the detection of ppb concentrations of Zn II with azo‐dye‐loaded test strips.
