Redox‐based chemotherapy : The irreversible inhibition of human glutathione reductase results in a unique S‐Au I ‐S coordination, which was determined crystallographically. The chemotherapeutic potential of phosphine–metal complexes was probed by kinetic analysis of the fast and effective inhibition of redox enzymes as well as by DNA‐interaction studies and cell‐proliferation tests.
