Three in one : TiO 2 nanoparticles have been functionalized with reactive polymeric ligands that incorporate chelating dopamine anchor groups, a modifying unit to allow the binding of functional molecules such as fluorescent dyes (see picture), as well as groups to tailor the solubility of the inorganic nanocrystals in different solvents.
