Doctoring spin : Spin transfer and solvato‐/thermochromism have been observed in a purely organic open‐shell system comprising electron‐donor and ‐acceptor moieties, in which a 6‐oxophenalenoxyl neutral radical is directly linked with tetrathiafulvalene. Intramolecular electron transfer (IET, see scheme) causes this interconversion, which can be controlled by a moderate change in the solvent environment and temperature.
