Plenty of phosphorus : The first Cu I oligophosphanido complex [Cu 4 (P 4 Ph 4 ) 2 (PCyp 3 ) 3 ] ( 1 ; Cyp= cyclo ‐C 5 H 9 ), synthesized from [CuCl(PCyp 3 ) 2 ] and [Na 2 (thf) 4 (P 4 Ph 4 )], displays a remarkable cage structure in the solid state. The central Cu 4 P 8 core of 1 (with appendant phosphane P atoms) is shown in the picture.
