A new twist : The α/β hybrid dipeptide repeats prepared from alternating C‐linked carbo‐β 3 ‐amino acid and L ‐Ala residues show a high propensity for mixed helices and produce hitherto unknown right‐handed 11/9 and 9/11 helical structures (see picture).
