Rare examples of thallium monocoordination? Polyfluorinated triazapentadienes HN[C(C 3 F 7 )NAr] 2 with bulky aryl substituents react with TlOEt to give rare, monomeric thallium( I ) complexes in which the Tl I center coordinates to the central nitrogen atom of the W‐shaped triazapentadienyl ligand system (see figure; Ar=2,4,6‐trimethylphenyl; N: blue, F: yellow, Tl: green).
