Mapping of bond connectivity in the carbon cage of the endohedral metallofullerene anion [La@C 82 ‐A] − (see picture, bottom) and definitive assignment of all the NMR signals were achieved for the first time by means of 2D INADEQUATE NMR spectroscopy measurements (see picture, top). The position of the encapsulated lanthanum atom (red sphere) was also confirmed by measurements of relaxation time T 1 for the cage carbon atoms.
