A stabilizing influence : Heterocyclic diaminophosphines can stabilize diphosphineimines sufficiently to allow the preparation of metal complexes. A kinetically stable diphosphineimine is isolated and its coordination chemistry investigated through the preparation of molybdenum (see picture) and nickel complexes with such PPN ligands.
