Well‐defined conjugates between DNA and heme enzymes are accessible by the reconstitution of apo‐enzymes with covalent hemin‐DNA adducts (see picture). This concept allows access to novel redox catalysts with programmable binding properties that may be applied as biocatalysts, sensors, and biomaterials.
