Red emission ( λ em =614 nm) from Eu III , sensitized by two‐photon absorption, has been demonstrated for the europium( III ) complex [Eu(tta) 3 dpbt] ( 1 ). A large two‐photon‐absorption cross section and a high luminescence efficiency of the europium complex ensure a high efficiency of two‐photon sensitization.
