An inorganic oxo salt , K 5 [(UO 2 ) 3 (SeO 4 ) 5 ](NO 3 )(H 2 O) 3.5 , forms a structure based on nanoscale uranyl selenate tubules (see picture; • {UO 7 8− } bipyramids, ○ {SeO 4 2− } tetrahedra). The interiors of the nanotubules are occupied by K + ions and H 2 O molecules.
