A vitamin that switches states : The appended nucleotide base B assists in the constitutional switch from the base‐on form of the B 12 conjugate (blue, with a coordinated 5,6‐dimethylbenzimidazole (DMB) unit) to the base‐off form (red, with a free DMB unit). The process is strongly temperature dependent.
