The deuteration of water produces the conformational change shown in the figure in the anisole⋅⋅⋅water complex. The value of the θ angle decreases from 138 to 128°, and the secondary interaction O⋅⋅⋅H Me is replaced by O⋅⋅⋅H Ph .
