Three of a kind : The directional O–O/S–S heterodonor ligand H 4 ‐ 1 reacts with Ti IV to give the triple‐stranded dinuclear tetraanion [Ti 2 ( 1 ) 3 ] 4− (see picture, acac=2,4‐pentanedione). The reaction yields exclusively the regioisomer with a parallel orientation of the ligands and only one pair of enantiomers is obtained.
