Unique, conformationally restricted β‐amino acids are a constituent of truncated linear peptides such as 1 , which have been obtained for the first time; these species show high and selective affinity toward the Y 1 receptor. The high affinity of these ligands is dependent on the position and the configuration of this β‐aminocyclopropane carboxylic acid.
