A whiter shade of PAl: The reaction of LAl I with white phosphorus yields the first main‐group complex [(LAl) 2 P 4 ] (L=HC(CMeNAr) 2 , Ar=2,6‐ i Pr 2 C 6 H 3 ) containing the {P 4 } 4− moiety, in which two P–P edges of the P 4 tetrahedron are opened and each is bridged by a LAl moiety (see structure). The results are supported by quantum chemical calculations.
