What a waste! A highly effective proton‐conducting biopolymer has been prepared from imidazole and chitin phosphate, which is an environmentally benign, low‐cost, and commonly discarded biopolymer (see picture). The composite material has a conductivity of 7×10 −3 S cm −1 at 150 °C under anhydrous (water‐free) conditions.
