.  ‥and yet so different. Non‐heme iron complexes catalyze the stereoselective oxidation of CH and CC bonds. Isomeric Fe III ‐ η 1 ‐hydroperoxo and Fe III ‐ η 2 ‐peroxo complexes (see picture), important intermediates in these reactions, were studied by EPR, resonance Raman, and UV/Vis spectroscopies.
