Metal or nonmetal? Gallium is a chameleon, both as an element and in a metalloid Ga 51 cluster. The cluster consists of a central Ga 13 unit with the same fcc topology as the high‐pressure form of Ga‐IV. A second shell of Ga atoms and GaBr and GaPR 2 groups binds the central core in a corset‐like molecular structure (see picture).
